Fall Color in Milwaukee County

This Fall I did not go on any long photo shoots that would produce enough images for a blog post. I did, however, go on several short local photo shoots which resulted in some nice fall color images. Each of the photos in this blog post was taken in a different Milwaukee County Park. The image above was taken in Hubbard Park.

The same day I went to Hubbard park I continued on to Estabrook park were I took the above picture.  Hubbard and Estabrook parks are both along the Milwaukee River just north of the city.  The water in the picture, however, is not the River but a small pond, called Estabrook Park Lagoon. If you look closely you can see a wood duck in the pond. I walked around to the other side of the pond to take some photos of the ducks. Next is a picture of one of the ducks

The picture shown below was taken at Jacobs Park just a couple of blocks from my house.

Below are two picture I took in Wauwatosa. The picture of the tree with the yellow leaves was taken next to Honey Creek. The one with red leaves was taken in Underwood Park.  This was a very nice picture of a tree but it was right next to Underwood Parkway and I was not able to crop out the road. So I decided to try the AI generative fill in Photoshop. Much of the grass in front of the tree was not really there. It was actually a road  and the grass was created by Photoshop. The tree and the background are all how it actually looked. I’m not sure what I think of this, but the picture looks nicer this  way. I guess I feel as long as I am not trying to pass it off as reality it is OK.  A painter might have gone to Underwood Park, seen that tree and used it as inspiration but left out the road. Our world is changing fast, and I’m not sure what I think of this. It was fun to play around with though.
